Venture Advance is led by Wade Myers, who has over 25 years of extensive military, academic, consulting, operational, entrepreneurial and investor experience.

Wade has co-founded, invested in, and been a director of 20 companies. He has had the role of CEO in 5 of those companies, including firms that grew into a global IT services company and an IT-enabled real estate services company with sixteen offices across the U.S. He has completed 15 mergers and acquisitions transactions and has initiated or participated in nearly 40 venture capital and private equity financings.  His entrepreneurial career has been primarily with internet, software or IT services ventures and he is a growth expert in both organic growth and acquisition growth strategies.  He has been the chairman of a seed capital firm, venture partner/EIR for two venture capital firms, and board member of an $850 million investment firm.

His other work experience includes the Boston Consulting Group where he developed strategy for Fortune 500 clients including the strategy for the largest Internet-based travel agency; the strategy for the first ticketless airline process for the largest US-based airline; a new category launch strategy for the largest snack food company in the US; a go-to-market strategy for a multi-national oil and gas company; the divestiture strategy for a global aircraft engine repair company; the go-to-market strategy for a value-added paper mill; and four engagements with a leading financial services company on customer acquisition, collections, branch organization, and credit strategy.


Prior to business school, he worked at Mobil Corporation where he held several positions ranging from sales representative to sales manager to national market development manager for a $150 million division.  He also served as an Airborne Ranger in the US Army and is a decorated veteran of the Gulf War.


He holds three degrees including an MBA from Harvard University where he graduated as a Baker Scholar (top 5% of his class).  He has been a business case author for Harvard and speaker and lecturer at business conferences and top business schools across the U.S.
